Fear not! You can refresh your worry stone much like you would a cuttingboard. They are initially finished with Tried & True Original, but any similar product or cuttingboard oil/wax will work.
To refresh:
1. Apply a dime-sized dab and work in with your hand
2. Rub with a soft cloth to remove excess.
If the wood grain remains rough:
1. Gently sand with 600-800 grit sandpaper
2. Reapply wax/oil and let sit for a few minutes
3. Rub with a soft cloth to remove excess.
4. Burnish with 1500-2000 grit sandpaper.
